Changes implemented in PC Angband 1.41 (beta)

This is a test bed for new Angband modifications.
This is not an official version, please report
all bugs/comments/questions to me.

Added wide radius light from fangband.
Fixed '~' to allow non-wizards to do artifact list while in town.
'~' will now optionally display to screen, with a more verbose
artifact list.
Put arrows, bolts, or sling stones in secondary slot and will not
prompt for item when throwing something, if you are wielding a
bow type weapon. (note: if you have the correct combo of items,
it will not allow you to throw from regular inventory. You must
remove the ammo before trying to throw something else, easiest
way to do this is to hit x)
Added rangers getting two bowshots. Added hobbits getting two
slingshots. Changed to hobbits getting two bowshots instead.
CHANGED AGAIN! Now, ala DnD, bows and slings have a rate of
fire of 2. Xbows have a rate of 1. Gave rangers and hobbits
a better chance to hit, based on their dex.
Added rogues getting backstab (double base weapon damage) if
monster is asleep. chance is 40+level percent. Message:
"You stab it in a tender spot."
Added warriors getting chance, when doing critical, to do double
critical damage and stun monster for 2-6 rounds. This chance
is based on the level of the warrior and the level of critical
done to the monster. Criticals can be of 4 levels (x2 + 5,
x2 + 10, x3 +15, x4 + 20). If a double damage critical is done,
chance is (25+level)%. If a triple damage critical is done,
chance is (40+level)%. Message "You severely damaged it."
This will not stun uniques. (maybe it should.)
This was going to be the slicing attack from Morgul, but a
change in the way that the monster list is implemented made
the old slicing attack impossible.
Changed "on the floor:" message to say "You see here:" because i
hate seeing "On the floor: an open door" message.
You can inscribe a single digit on an item, then you may use that
item when dropping or wielding by using its number. example,
inscribe your digging tool as {1} and your primary weapon as {1},
and your missile ammo as {2}, then if you normally have your
secondary weapon as your missile weapon, just wear {2} then
hit x and your ready to shoot missiles. If wielding your primary
weapon, you can simulate a digging tool slot by wielding {1} to
get shovel, then wielding {1} to switch back to weapon.

Fixed inscribe item message when inscribing over old inscription.
was "Replace old_inscrip New inscription", changed to
"Replacing {old_inscrip}; Enter new inscription:"
Ability, when identifying an item, to identify item on ground if
the ground item is a valid type to be identified (no doors,
traps, etc.)
Ability, when eating, to eat item on ground if the ground item is
a food type item.
Random chance, 10% for magma, 15% for quartz, that when the
streamers of quarts or magma are placed, that they will be
already dug out. (This adds a little variety to the level.)
Fixed CUBRAGOL's elemental brand to not stop on first bolt found if that
bolt already has a special type name.
Added to Alchemy shop a chance to generate potions of self knowledge,
removed one of 3 chances to generate phase door to allow this.
Added Equippy Characters from Fangband.
Added 5% chance of generating a REALLY large normal room when a normal
room is generated. (up to 1.5 * normal size)
Changed large iron chests to 2d2 items (from 1d2).
Changed large steel chests to 4d2 items (from 2d2).
Added chance (dunlevel > 25+randint(25)) of a chest opening on a level
of > 25 to have a good item.
Fixed rods & staffs of curing to fill all the maladies instead of just
the first one found.
Priests get -15% prayer penalty when wielding non-priestly or
non-blessed weapons.
Added Blessed blade to the artifacts that should be blessed
(wrath, ulmo, aeglos, orome, eonwe) and to Holy avenger, westernesse
and slay evil.
Added message in self-knowledge about blessed blades.
"Your weapon has been blessed by the gods."
Whips can be of Fire or Ice, and grant resist fire/ice, and whips of
fire give off light.
Adjusted disarming to use stat values greater than 18/100.
Added a routine to generate.c to generate circular rooms sometimes
when a regular room is generated (20%).
Fixed Type 5 checkerboard rooms to have a strip of floor along the
right and left sides since build corridor would almost never connect
the corridors with the secret doors.
Added Whips of Energy (Lightning Brand).
Added Weapons of Energy.
Added '`' key to rest till maladies cured.
Added bows, xbows, and slings of ammunition. You do not need ammo for
these weapons (and can not use it if you have one wielded).
(Will not prompt for what to shoot). They should be about 1/4 as common
as bows of accuracy or damage.
Good point:
Dont need to go get any ammo.
Bad point:
Cannot use any special ammo (Slay whatever, or seeker etc.)
Your missile damage is: 1d4 for slings, 1d5 for light xbows,
1d6 for arrows, and 1d7 for heavy xbows.
Added graphics from Topi's 1.40 graphics version.
Fixed Beetles and Ticks, as they were not displaying correctly.
Changed yeeks from 249 (floor) to 228 (unused??)
Changed many graphics! Be sure to use (l)ook a lot!
